BoRT Questions 3:
As I am sure all of you know, my experience with video games essentially just does not exist. Please bear with me as I reflect on my high school days of playing the Nintendo Wii and pretending I know about video games. I am not an avid gamer by any means, but I do enjoy playing the occasional Wii game. Notably, Wii Dance and Wii Sports. I usually partake in playing these games at parties or at home with my siblings or family. I am a very competitive person, so any game that involves getting a high score, or totally dominating another player, will make me want to keep playing until I achieve just that. There have been many nights with friends where we literally will not stop playing Wii Dance. Consequently, the songs that are danced to are on constant repeat in your brain during night and day, both sleeping and awake. How has excessive Wii Dance game playing poured into my day-to-day life? The foundation of all my dance moves: Wii Dance. Attend a party and start to dance? Wii Dance moves. Attend a wedding and dance with bride? Wii Dance moves. My arsenal of dance moves has literally become moves I have learned from playing Wii Dance for hours upon hours. I haven’t played Wii Dance in quite some time now, yet my “fancy” footwork still has outbursts of routines from Wii Dance. If you have not played Wii Dance, I highly recommend it. Your dance game will be forever changed. Am I ashamed of this? Absolutely not. No regrets, my friends, no regrets.
