Hello All,

my name is Colton James, from Anaconda Montana. I am a Junior pursuing a Secondary Education/Social Studies Degree. I served 4 years in the Marine Corps with a combat deployment to Afghanistan in 2011. Being from Montana, I developed an infatuation and respect for the security, beauty, hardiness of the Mountain life. While living in San Diego I decided to teach myself how to rock climb (In which I am less than mediocre). I gathered a friend, accumulated some gear, learned a knot or two, watched a bunch of YouTube videos, and started climbing (I do not recommend this method, one should first go with someone who has at least the tiniest bit of experience). I have hit quite a lazy patch since getting out of the military, here’s hoping that this class kicks start my life again.

P.S. My wife is watching me write this and is wondering why I haven’t mentioned her or my new four-month old son…. there I mentioned them
